Today we moved Jack into his dorm room early and avoid the rush. We set up the basics and got his clothes and bed in order. They even have a bathroom in the room! No sharing with everyone in the hall. "I'm helping!" Luke was actually a great help. He built the shelf thing. We disinfected EVERYTHING and went through an entire can of wipes. His roommate has yet to move in but he'll get to do that without Jack being in the room. He'll move in later this week. For now, this is the setup. It's a work in progress. And much better than my freshmen room! There's a kitchen down the hall. Some nice views, too. This one from the commons happens to overlook the May 4th The below hall connects the two honor's dorms.Another common area. They have a laundry, too, and right around the corner from his room.Luke said he wants to go to college now. Oh, now he wants to go! Also, he beat both Jack and I at air hockey. We're very proud of Jack. He worked very hard in HS and one of the outcomes is being in a nice dorm with a lot of resources. Now all we need to do is stop crying because he's not in the house, even if he's 2 miles away. Before we left, the cats where guarding the last bag. They don't want Jack to go.
