We recently got Covid19. Jack tested positive at the end of the week before
last. Everyone got sick but no one else ever tested positive. Mary and I were symptomatic with Mary getting knocked out, so to speak. Luke puked his brains out one night but was okay beyond a headache.
We masked in the house and ate at different tables. Jack was absolutely excellent about double masking all the time. Here, the boys are eating in different rooms. We kept the windows open as much as possible and did what we could just in case the rest of us were just sick with something else.
We know not all tests correctly identify Covid19 all the time, especially with the new variant.
We were the most cautious people you know but the week after we let our guard down (for school this fall), we got it! However, we're fully vaccinated, in decent health, and the Omicron variant tends to have less severe symptoms.
The good news is that doors are no longer closed, masks are off, and everyone is on the mend!
